The benefit of a Hot Spa is the all-encompassing effect of the warm water. This effectively acts like a sportsman's warm-up session and prepares the dog for more concentrated exercise in the Hrydopool. The dog can the be returned to the Spa for post-exercise cooling off. |

The principal benefit of a Hydrotherapy course is to use the warmth of the water and the swimming action to build up muscle mass, exercise injured or inactive limbs and to facilitate a return to full limb extension where possible. The buoyancy effect of the water carries the weight of the dog so that the limb/joint/ligament needing treatment can move without the burden of the dog's weight. This relieves 'strain and pain' whilst permitting movement and exercise of the affected area. |
